MY IMMORTAL. I swear; in all my Karaoke moments, I always sang this song. I don't know why haha. Usually, that's the only song that I'd initially like in the MagicSing list.
SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW. Love this song! Especially the full version used in Broadway.
BEFORE HE CHEATS. So shoot me, I like Country music. And this country rock song from Carrie Underwood is the ULTIMATE rock-out song for me ... when it comes to country, that is. ;)

... so sad that only a few Karaoke machines carry Broadway songs.

What's your favorite foreign accent?

Hmmmm...... I have two. Tied in first place.

English Accent - I have spent three Lord of the Rings movies and two Harry Potter movies *on loop* for about a year to master this art. And now, I have met NO ONE who could pull it off as I can. Unless you're born and raise or just raised there, your accent is as good as or worse for wear than mine. i dare you. Hahahahahahahah!
New York Accent - I won't take just anyone's NY accent. I want Eddie Cahill's and Carmine Giovinazzo's. 'Don Flack, Jr.' and 'Danny Messer' from CSI:NY, if you want a sample. Their accents drive me oh so crazy! I wish I could acquire them, too. soon.

Whee! LEGAL -- finally legal!

At in fairness, maaga pa ha. Lol -- I won't have a party for my 18th. Imma spend the money on something else. I busted PhP500 yesterday in a book (and a bag) in National Bookstore Cubao yesterday. That's my gift to myself. Actually, I had about PhP1500 worth of sale books on my shelf since August13 until yesterday. Iyun na lang ang gift ko sa sarili ko -- may debut gown na ako nun kung tutuusin hahahah. Natatawa nga ako nung tinignan ko kanina yung "collection" ko.

I'm not a beach person but...

... I'm not a beach person. But I love the beach.

Last September 9, 2006 -- our Geography1 class MHV1 together with some other classes went on a field trip to Bataan. We went to all these historical/educational places and such... climbed up Mt. Samat and up the Dambana ng Kagitingan:

It was a long way up, steps of hella slippery blood stones (I think they're called) and up an elevator for 57seconds (yes, there is an elevator inside the cross structure atop the mountain). Here is a view from the top:

There's also an altar/courtyard of sorts below the cross about midway up the mountain where we took our unofficial class picture, the first of many:

Anyway, it was so exhausting that we opted to eat first before heading over to the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant. Yep, a real nuclear power plant. But here's the catch... ~~it doesn't work~~. It doesn't even have power to operate its own lights and AC. Ironic, isn't it?

Tell me what enters your head when you hear the words (or brand) water front? The hotel and recreation site? Nah, this time... take it literally. In front of the water. Don't believe me?

I took this picture with the dining table (aka cottage) touching my back. It's that close! Hahaha... think again when you hear "water front".

Our class was the ONLY ONE who had fun... well, yeah the other classes had their own fun. But not on the beach! I mean, sure, you can eat and all that but c'mon -- it's the beach, man. Almost 12 months in a year (hahahah) we're in the city and just for this hour and a half we're in a beach... FOR FREE! I'd be damned if we didn't make the most of it. MHV1 sure did.

Next stop was the power plant and then after that, the Bataan TechnoPark. There's not much to see there, though. It's a technology park without the actual technology. Another irony.

Last stop... is beach #2. The Pawikan Conservation Center. There's not much to say there... but the main thing is once again, we were the only ones who had fun on the beach. The whole beach locations thing became like a photoshoot of sorts for all of us.

We got back to UP very late but it was all worth it. Two beaches in one day...not bad.

QotD: Better on the Big Screen

If you could watch any movie on the big screen right at this moment, what would it be?

If you personally know me, which is highly unlikely (hahaha!), you would know my answer to this. You can choose between just two epic movies of the same genre. It is a part of a classic book-to-movie trilogy which launched and/or relit the careers of a lot of actors. The whole thing has just three main female characters and several guys who look like women with their long hair and astonishing beautiful faces.

Although I know these movies (read: trilogy) like the back of my hand, I don't mind watching them on bigscreen once again. After all, a 51" projection TV is not a full-sized silver screen. The benefit of watching it at home however is the knowledge that I am watching the movies' extended versions.

I'm talking about Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers or Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. If you're watching it with me, take your pick.

But I don't mind watching it alone.

MIA yesterday

This post is not of the QotD thing. I don't like the question posted. It's very cliche -- very Miss Universe-ish question. Plus, don't make me choose. I'd rather go to hell than to choose ONE thing out of a million.

So, I wasn't around yesterday. Thus, no VOX post as well as no LJ post from moi yesterday. I was out... of the city... of the region even. Left at 430am and got back home at 1230am. Visited two beaches in one day, waded in high tide, collected a coral fragment, took 60+ pictures using two cameras, went inside a REAL nuclear power plant (that is not working), trudged up a mountain, and being one with the clouds. It was a vacation...without the actual vacation. School field trip for Geography1.

I have yet to upload the picturessss -- and lazy me, I still don't feel like it. The pictures don't remind me much of the trip. They remind me more of the project that entailed the trip... a ~~photo essay~~. Hay, good luck!

What's your middle name? Is there a story or history behind it?

Maritoni. That's my middle name. And I like it.

They call me 'toni' from that name of mine. And I like it.

There is a story behind that. My parents took that name from a Filipina beauty queen Maritoni Daya. I honestly do not know who she is and how she looks like. But I hope the 'beauty queen' in her rubbed off to me via her name.
